Things To Do On The Emerald Coast

THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS, GONE COASTAL ~ EMERALD COAST, FL

THE AREA

THE BEACH SITS PROUDLY ~ ATOP THIS MARQUEE

So white. So bright. So pristine. And so serene. So get to these hidden, Caribbean-like Gulf sands, already. And don’t forget those walking shoes either. That’s because this stretch of Florida all along Highway 30A, is tremendously pedestrian friendly. And most of InvitedHome’s properties are easily accessible to anywhere on the Emerald Coast. By foot. By bike. By pedicab or by trike. The unparalleled shoreline and unique villages are never far from reach no matter what mode of transportation you take.

THE NEIGHBORHOODS

A TRUE SENSE OF COMMUNITY ~ FOR ALL DIFFERENT TASTES

The Emerald Coast is a popular family-drive vacation, but as people learn about this little majestic corner of the U.S., more and more people are choosing it as their destination for optimal relaxation. And the neighborhoods definitely reflect such visitor diversity. Discover the quirky, catch-all activities of Rosemary Beach. Explore the rare dune lake of WaterColor and WaterSound. Take in the natural beauty of Seagrove or Seacrest. Or walk along the beach and experience everything in between. The truth is, the architecture, size, and style of our rental homes are usually the deciding factors. Because the proximity of our homes is never an issue. And peace of mind is always a top priority

What To Do

THE ACTIVITIES THAT KEEP YOU COMING BACK ~ TIME AND TIME AGAIN

The Emerald Coast provides a wide variety of entertainment options, all in such a condensed area of land. And yes, this diversity of activities makes it the ideal locale for families, but there’s plenty more to this seaside sanctuary than just bumper cars and waterslides. (Though we don’t hear the adults complaining when they see them on the day’s itinerary.)

What You Should Know

Be Prepared ~ Then Prepare To Relax

  • Rent a bike or get ready to walk. That’s the first recommendation we make, as the Emerald Coast is one of the most pedestrian-friendly areas in the country.
  • Your car might leave your driveway once during your stay if you want to stock up on groceries.
  • Speaking of which, the area gets very busy during the summer and Saturday-to-Saturday stays are most common. We recommend stocking up on a day’s worth of groceries before you arrive, as the market is where everyone tends to head first.
  • Except on the major roads, traffic is at a minimum. And while that makes it safe for kids to play, be prepared for units of walk- or bike-related minutes should you ask for directions. Cars come secondary around here. And there’s not a lot of parking as a result.
  • If you’re not from around these parts, beach etiquette might seem a little different. Prime beach spots are actually reserved (and paid for) ahead of time, but they do provide chairs and umbrellas that will be set up in advance.
  • Salt water isn’t for everyone. Conveniently, there are an abundance of community pools spread throughout the area to splash around in.
