The privacy of the back deck gives Creekside Haven a tranquil feel.

Commune with nature in the private outdoor hot tub.

If you love nature, you'll love staying in this one-of-a-kind custom home that blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape filled with oaks, ferns and flowers.

The great room was built using rock from the creekbed and reclaimed timbers. Take advantage of all that plush seating and watch a movie on the 55” smart 3D Samsung flatscreen TV, with DVD player and stereo system.

The stairs with the rope handrail lead to the second level bedrooms.

The gourmet kitchen has granite countertops and a large pantry, vintage Wedgewood 4-burner range and oven, stainless steel double door refrigerator with bottom freezer, and a Kitchen Aid stainless steel dishwasher.

Enjoy the great Santa Barbara weather during dinner on the back deck. There's a 6-seat dining table overlooking lush foliage and the creek.

The 2nd level Master bedroom #1 has a king size bed, flatscreen TV, beamed ceiling, and a private balcony with bisto table and chairs that overlooks the creek.

2nd floor private bathroom for master bedroom #1 with glassed-in shower stall, single sink. To the left at the top of the stairs.

The first floor guest bedroom #2 with a queen size bed and 36” flatscreen TV has patio doors that lead out to the deck and hot tub in the backyard. This bedroom has access to a full bath right next to it.

The downstairs guest bathroom features a single sink vanity and walk in shower.

The loft has a full pull out sleeper sofa.

Though not a private bedroom, it's still a great sleeping option.

A separate studio with large custom desk in the entry and a full size daybed sleeps two people, but there's no bathroom out there.

The little patio behind the guesthouse is great for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.

The guesthouse has a full size bed and provides the perfect place for the kids to have their own quarters.

There's also a TV in the guesthouse bedroom.

The guesthouse is also a great spot for getting a bit of work done.

From the back of the house, you can see the large first floor deck and the private upstairs balcony off of the master bedroom.

The yard is sprawling and has lots of room to explore.

One of the nicest little escapes around.

The creekbed is currently dry due to the drought, but it's relaxing place to sit with coffee.

The sanctuary like atmosphere in the back of the house will instantly relax you while you eat the picnic table.

There are plenty of places to explore in the backyard.

With the beautiful trees growing overhead, driving into Creekside Haven feels like driving into the woods.

If your ideal vacation home is one that is folded into the landscape, one that allows you to be in tune with nature without having to worry about poison oak, then you can't do much better than Creekside Haven, a home that is so much a part of its surroundings that the rocks in the stone fireplace actually come from the creek that runs alongside the house.

Elevated among the ferns and surrounded by tall oaks, this creekside home provides a welcome respite from the bustle of daily life and the crowded neighborhoods of the waterfront district. Though you’ll feel a world apart, this gorgeous, custom-designed, radial home is centrally located, with the downtown area only two miles away and the Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Gardens within easy walking distance. A nature lover’s dream, this unique property is located just minutes from Santa Barbara’s most popular hiking trails. For those looking for something more than a cookie cutter vacation rental, this beautiful one-acre property is a paradise found.

With 2000 square feet of living space and multiple outdoor seating areas, this home is well suited for small families and couples traveling together. The great room downstairs features plush sofas and armchairs centered around a huge stone fireplace, creating a comfortable area for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or watching a movie at night. The guest bedroom downstairs features patio doors leading out to the deck and spa in the backyard. A beautiful spiral staircase (with rope handrails) leads up to a small landing with a double futon that precedes the master bedroom, which features a private deck with lovely creek views when it's flowing. A separate studio offers a large custom desk in the entry and a daybed for extra guests. Enjoy your escape to Santa Barbara in this exquisite home and you’ll find yourself eagerly planning your return to our Creekside Haven.

Santa Barbara Travel Guide
July 25, 2017 The city calls itself the American Riviera, and if you travel to Santa Barbara you'll see why: This central coast city, which sits on an idyllic stretch of coastline and is sheltered by the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains, has a ...Mediterranean-like climate and a civility that feels downright European. In fact, it once was European: the Spanish settled the city in the 1600s, and the Mission Santa Barbara is still one of the city's most treasured landmarks. Given the city's sophisticated charm—and high prices—many celebrities have made a Santa Barbara visit over the years, from Charlie Chaplin, who built a hotel, to Oprah Winfrey, who has a house nearby.
