If your ideal vacation home is one that is folded into the landscape, one that allows you to be in tune with nature without having to worry about poison oak, then you can't do much better than Creekside Haven, a home that is so much a part of its surroundings that the rocks in the stone fireplace actually come from the creek that runs alongside the house.

Elevated among the ferns and surrounded by tall oaks, this creekside home provides a welcome respite from the bustle of daily life and the crowded neighborhoods of the waterfront district. Though you’ll feel a world apart, this gorgeous, custom-designed, radial home is centrally located, with the downtown area only two miles away and the Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Gardens within easy walking distance. A nature lover’s dream, this unique property is located just minutes from Santa Barbara’s most popular hiking trails. For those looking for something more than a cookie cutter vacation rental, this beautiful one-acre property is a paradise found.

With 2000 square feet of living space and multiple outdoor seating areas, this home is well suited for small families and couples traveling together. The great room downstairs features plush sofas and armchairs centered around a huge stone fireplace, creating a comfortable area for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or watching a movie at night. The guest bedroom downstairs features patio doors leading out to the deck and spa in the backyard. A beautiful spiral staircase (with rope handrails) leads up to a small landing with a double futon that precedes the master bedroom, which features a private deck with lovely creek views when it's flowing. A separate studio offers a large custom desk in the entry and a daybed for extra guests. Enjoy your escape to Santa Barbara in this exquisite home and you’ll find yourself eagerly planning your return to our Creekside Haven.

Lovely custom home in a central location

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creekside Haven. The home is unique, well-kept and beautifully landscaped (even without the grass!). It is within walking distance of the historic Santa Barbara Mission, the Museum of Natural History, and the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens. Many other amenities and activities are a relatively easy drive from the house. Would have been nice to be a bit closer to the coast (just for the kids' sake) but we made it work! Management was great in answering questions we had and in helping us secure our reservation. Would definitely recommend this property to others looking for a quiet, peaceful get away to the Santa Barbara area.

What You Should Know

What We love

  • Telling stories and roasting marshmallows by the fireplace
  • Quietly tracking wildlife in the creek with your binoculars from the comfort of those adirondack chairs
  • Hiking up to nearby Seven Falls or on surrounding trails, then taking a therapeutic dip in the outdoor spa

What to know

  • The yard is not fully enclosed, so children should not wander without supervision.
  • The studio is detached from the main house and does not have its own bathroom.
  • Because this area is at risk during fire season, use of the fireplace during red flag alerts is prohibited.

The Particulars

Check-in is at 4:00pm & CHECK-OUT 11:00am

We’re always happy to make you happy. In some cases, it may be possible to grant an earlier check-in or later check-out depending on the booking and maintenance schedule. However, early check-in and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed until 24 hours prior to check-in or check-out date. Please “check-in” with our team for further details.

Cancellation Policy

  • Hit the "Book Now" button a bit too soon? No worries. We offer a 24-hour grace period where any reservation made is eligible for a full refund. Hey, it happens.

  • Your initial payment is 50% of the total, with the remaining balance due 60 days out from checkin. After the 24 hour grace period, all payments become non-refundable.

  • We encourage you to double check everything before you book to make sure you've selected that perfect home, at the ideal time. And while we're on the subject of peace of mind, ask us about our travel insurance package. It's just another amenity we offer to make booking your stay as relaxing as possible.

Santa Barbara Travel Guide
December 11, 2016 The city calls itself the American Riviera, and if you travel to Santa Barbara you'll see why: This central coast city, which sits on an idyllic stretch of coastline and is sheltered by the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains, has a ...Mediterranean-like climate and a civility that feels downright European. In fact, it once was European: the Spanish settled the city in the 1600s, and the Mission Santa Barbara is still one of the city's most treasured landmarks.
