As you step inside and head up to the main living level of the home, you’ll undoubtedly first be drawn to the amazing views that fill practically every window. In celebration of the alpine landscape outside, the design in this home maintains a touch of rustic splendor in the form of natural stone and knotted pine throughout. With the complimentary shuttle services of Mountain Village at your fingertips and the short walking distance from the world-renowned slopes, this home is just as accessible as it is luxurious.
Most living rooms pale in comparison to the lavish space in this three level home on the slopes of Telluride Ski Resort. When the snow falls and settles on the boughs just beyond the deck, take comfort in the fire emanating warmth from a stone-outlined gas fireplace in front of you as you relax on the cream-colored sofa or a soft leather armchair.
The kitchen is wide open to the dining and living spaces, so you won’t miss any of the laughter resonating from family gatherings while you grab a snack. A granite island extends to include a breakfast bar seating 6 guests, while stainless steel appliances including a 6-burner professional-grade gas stove ensure you’ll be fully equipped to feed that number and more.
There’s a delightful marriage of comfort and formality taking place in the dining area just off the kitchen, with a long wooden table and upholstered chairs hosting 10 more guests and overlooking the main-level deck. Lounging in one of the plush chairs outside on the deck on a summer evening as you grill dinner on the gas-powered grill may just prove to be your favorite way to pass the time in this alpine paradise.
The Family Room down the hall offers a bounty of plush seating including oversized faux-fur bean bags, sure to be a favorite of the kids or kids-at-heart of the group. Meet up after breakfast to catch up on the news of this peaceful mountain town on the flat screen above the fireplace, or play a board game on the round coffee table while flames flicker beside you. The main level features a powder room, so no need to tackle any stairs immediately after claiming victory in a lively game of Go Fish.
On the upper level of the home is the grand Master Suite, with a King bed facing a stone hearth below a gas fireplace. Just above is a flat screen tv, but don’t stop looking there! Allow the warm hues to lead your eye straight up to the sky-high wooden ceiling with twinkling inset lighting. The natural light that flows through the balcony doors serves to highlight the impeccable design of this soul-awakening space. The attached en suite Master Bathroom showcases an enormous rainforest steam shower and separate jetted tub.
Also on this level is the almost-identical Junior Master Suite, with vaulted ceilings accentuated by a gas fireplace and flat screen tv. The King bed is bordered by windows and lies parallel to french doors leading out onto a broad balcony with outstanding views of the mountains in every direction. In the ensuite, a double vanity will lead you straight to the oversized jetted tub next to the stand-alone rainforest steam shower.
On the lower level are two more sleeping spaces. Guest Bedroom 3 offers a full-sized bed with comforting pastel accents. Next door, the bunk bedroom sleeps up to 6 guests split between three built-in wooden bunk beds. A flat screen in this bedroom will keep the little ones entertained for hours as you prepare a delicious dinner, or have someone else do the cooking as you enjoy a glass of wine in the hot tub.
A steam room serves also as a shared bathroom for these two bedrooms, with a steam shower and single vanity located just off of the patio access point on this level. Down the hall is another full bathroom, with plentiful counter space and a stand-alone shower.
Grab a refreshment from the wet bar as you enjoy a movie from the comfort of the cushiony sectional in the media room, or take an opportunity to stash a bottle or two of champagne for enjoyment later on. Another fireplace here adds just the right ambiance. Outside is your bubbling private hot tub, covered and protected from icy breezes that may challenge the warm steam.
In the laundry room, double washers and dryers will make quick work of any clothes cleaning needed, while an office on the uppermost level may be the perfect setting for other types of work.
When it feels sufficiently like you’re living in a snowglobe, make your way out amongst the flakes and catch Mountain Village’s Dial-A-Ride shuttle for a ride over to the gondola. Catch a car all the way down to the twinkling town of Telluride, or stop halfway for outstanding views and cocktails at Allred’s. If a more mellow vacation is called for, stroll through the Village and imbibe at a cozy pub, knowing that a great night’s sleep is the only thing between you and another exciting day of vacation at Snow Creek Lodge.
