In medias res. Let’s begin here, because that’s just where you’ll be when you stay at Criterion at Solaris. In the middle of things. Starting with your stay at the center of Solaris Plaza in Vail Village, where any and all of the area’s fun-filled activities seem to be taking place. And whatever is happening on any given day, you can watch it unfold right from one of your two private terraces. You decide which side to view it from, and if you and your large family or group want to participate. Chances are, you will. That’s why you came, and being this close to all the action can be quite hard to resist.

But resistance might be futile when it comes to all the internal amenities you’ll have at Solaris. Guests enjoy access to a private spa with three treatment rooms; a fitness and exercise facility; childcare and catering services; and a chills-be-gone atmosphere that features everything from heated, underground parking to a heated, indoor pool and hot tub. Not to mention the on-site Japanese restaurant, bowling alley, cinema and outdoor skating that all of Vail always enjoys. What’s more is that most of the area’s big concerts and events, like the Burton U.S. Open and Vail Snow Daze, are held at Solaris Plaza. And the best part? You can take it all in from your very own terrace that overlooks each occasion.

Not bad, you say? Stay with us, because inside, it only gets better. This 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath resort-like condo comfortably sleeps eight. Need room for a few more? Problem solved. Just pull out the queen-sized bed from the couch in the den and you’ve now got room for ten. The same holds true in the dining room, where the table has 6 chairs with two to spare. And dining in style you soon will be, as the chefs of your group will have everything they could possibly need in the catering-ready, professional kitchen. So once you’re full - and we have a feeling you most certainly will be - you’ll need a proper place to rest and digest. Flip on the gas fireplace and make yourself comfortable in the main living area. There’s plenty of space throughout this grand space. But if you need even more, you should know there’s more in the den, and flatscreen televisions in every room. The master and the second guest room even have their own private balconies. You know, should the main terraces just be too expansive for you. But veranda big or small, get ready to be in the middle of it all...when you stay at Criterion at Solaris.

Uber expands service in colorado mountain towns sm
Uber Expands to Colorado Mountain Towns
Uber, the popular ride-sharing service, which has operated in Colorado’s larger cities since 2013, has recently expanded Learn More. into the counties that include the state’s most beloved ski resorts. Powderhounds in Breckenridge, ...Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, Aspen/Snowmass and Steamboat Springs can now use their Uber app to hail a driver to whisk them to and from the slopes, a cozy apres ski venue or to safely enjoy the area’s nightlife. Uber is an excellent choice for people who take a shuttle from the airport to their resort town and would like an easy way to get around, as well as for people who don’t like driving in snow and ice, or at night. Mountain town drivers live in the area and know how to get from point A to point B without any trouble. (see less)

Vail's $25 Million Summer Development Sparks New Era of Year-Round Ski Resort Playgrounds
November 11, 2016 Vail’s $25 million summer investment is designed to turn its ski areas into 12-month playgrounds, with mountain coasters, ziplines, aerial adventure courses and more hiking and biking trails. All of it stems from the 2011 Ski Area Recreational ...Opportunity Enhancement Act, which allows the Forest Service greater leeway when approving projects at resorts that initially were designed for downhill skiing. The King of American Ski Resorts: Vail in Colorado
November 11, 2016 Vail has long been the most popular ski resort in North America, for good reason, and was also one of the first in the country to embrace snowboarders, retaining this feel of inclusivity three decades later. For many years it held the lofty title of ...“largest single mountain ski resort,” a stat arguably wrested away in the past two years only by combining other major ski resorts into one. Without having to snap up any neighbors, Vail still retains a stunning amount of skiing, nearly 200 trails across 5,289 “developed” acres served by more than 30 well connected and efficient lifts. First-Timer's Guide: Vail
November 21, 2016 A weekend spent in the mountains is the pinnacle—literally—of what makes living in Colorado so great, even if the I-70 traffic and questionable, or downright treacherous, road conditions can be trying (to say the least). That’s why ...our ideal ski weekend involves zero car time. It’s also one of Vail’s strongest draws: The praised ski destination is unique in that it was a resort first and a town later. The hyperlocal community, free bus system, and centralized businesses that popped up around the resort, which opened in 1962, provide a practically ski-in, ski-out city center. If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, the Centennial State, or have simply never been to Vail, venture (safely) west this winter, park and unpack your Subaru, and treat yourself to a stress- and car-free weekend.  (see less)
