Emerald Coast 30a Beaches
If you don’t know why the stretch of Scenic Highway 30A along the Florida Gulf is called the Emerald Coast, you certainly will upon arrival. That’s because the crisp green waters are impossible to miss, and the pristine, white sand is a gem in its ...own right. But while they may share the same sea, each beach community has it’s own distinct personality. Here are a few of the best Emerald Coast beaches to get up close and personal with… (see less)

Why You Should Explore Florida's Emerald Coast
November 11, 2016 As you ride through the region, specifically down Florida Scenic Highway 30-A, you’ll see signs for places like Rosemary Beach and Miramar Beach. All of those spots are a blast, but for this autumn weekend, set your GPS for Santa Rosa Beach. A ...laid-back, oh-don’t-mind-us sort of town in every good way possible, SRB makes great sense for a quick weekend jaunt because of its ideal location — Atlanta is only a five-hour drive while Pensacola International Airport offers non-stop flights from Chicago, Washington D.C. and other places — and two Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star properties, The Pearl Hotel and WaterColor Inn & Resort.

Attractions Old and New Create Memories in Florida
January 29, 2017 I’ve lived in Florida as a kid and adult, and now that I’m a Georgia resident I can’t resist returning at least once a year. The trips have broadened beyond Daytona Beach, where I grew up, and Walt Disney World, where I often ...visited with my parents when rides required tickets, not $100-plus admission and Fast Passes. Comment The author states that "the beauty of Florida is choice," and that is certainly true. From completely free activities to pricier ones, you can certainly experience some unique parts of Florida while staying in ...budget. (see less)
Slices of paradise
Slices of Paradise along Florida's Highway 30A
May 11, 2017 The first time my toes touched the snow-white sand and clear-blue water along the beaches of northwest Florida, in Rosemary Beach specifically, I kicked myself. I kicked myself because for years — decades really — I had been traveling all ...day, and sometimes for two days, to reach this level of beauty. I’d usually trek to beaches of Anguilla or to the Grenadines in the southern Caribbean. Often I would journey from Dallas to the Turks & Caicos Islands, the Bahama Out Islands or the Cayman Islands. Hawaii would temporarily give me the best-of-the-best beach fix I craved. (see less)
