Summary
We are adding to our Vail Valley team! The Property Manager is responsible for ensuring company standards and policies are being properly carried out by staff members throughout the day, especially while inspecting units before arrivals and after departures.
A primary duty of this position is to efficiently inspect and follow through with all arrivals and departures during peak season and develop and follow through with fall/spring home projects between peak seasons. This position will also be responsible for day-to-day operations during the Property Manager’s days off and time away.
Responsibilities
- Arranging pre-arrival and post-departure home inspections to make sure our standards and the guests’ expectations are met
- Sharing MOD (manager on duty) coverage and problem-solving guest issues/complaints
- Oversee housekeeping to ensure homes are ready for guest arrival
- Ensure all homes are up to Invitedhome standards
- Trouble shoot problems that arise in homes
- Assist with all aspects of maintenance, housekeeping management, and vendor relationship
- Work closely with vendors to schedule and supervise subcontracted work as needed
- Provide AV instruction/maintenance in all properties so that guests and homeowners are clear on how to work all the systems easily and efficiently.
- Take direction from the General Manager for implementing various controls and procedures during both peak and low seasons.
- Meet guests in the field on arrival days when necessary, only for select homes and when a guest needs assistance, typically between 10 am and 8 pm
- Monitoring daily communications via email and/ or messaging app
- Tracking the completion of weekly tasks and projects (house checks, spa services, housekeeping, repairs, equipment replacement, maintenance, etc.)
- Gain full knowledge of and maintain all operational systems and services in rental properties as required including gas, HVAC, electrical, entertainment, water, sewage supply etc.
- Perform weekly inspections for homes participating in InvitedHome HomeCare Program
Required Experience and Skills
- Must be local to Vail Valley and able to commute daily into Vail and Beaver Creek.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in hospitality, property management, or other related fields.
- Computer Proficiency
- Good organizational Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and reliable 4x4 transportation
- Manages time effectively and meets deadlines
- Ability to learn new computer and cell phone applications software
- Ability to use hand and basic power tools
- Recommended Experience and Skills
- Basic Maintenance Skills
- Strong local knowledge of Vail, Beaver Creek and surrounding area
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field
- Physical Abilities
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
- Reach overhead and below the waist
- Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Bend,stoop,squat,kneel,and twist
- You may be required to walk for long periods of time, shovel snow, complete maintenance work.
- Salary Range DOE: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
