Experience la Dolce Vita right here in Cordillera. Il Podere brings all the magnificent beauty and European charm of Tuscany to the Vail Valley, where this family homestead sits on a total of 220 acres of private and pristine mountain-top landscape. The term panoramic doesn’t do justice to the awe-inspiring views you’ll be treated to from every room and terrace of this gorgeous estate, nor does the word luxury begin to describe the design and architecture of this stunning home. Perhaps the Italian language itself holds the only apt word: Mozzafiato.
With seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms, families and guests can stay together and make memories they’ll have forever. For larger events, such as weddings or showers, there's enough space for 180 people inside the home (for more information on events, see below). In the main house there’s a Master Suite on each level, both of which are sumptuously designed with authentic Italian stone and exposed wood beams. A private terrace in one and a balcony in the other offer intoxicating views of the mountains and valleys that surround you. Both also feature ensuite bathrooms seemingly built for the Italian elite, with soaking tubs, large showers, and exquisite views. Follow an underground hallway to the guest house, where four guest suites and an additional bunk room provide plenty of sleeping quarters. Each of the four guest suites mirror one another in design and are located along the same hallway, while the bunk room has a unique design of built-in wooden bunks with a twin on top and full on bottom. The home is perfectly suited for all seasons. Multiple lavish living areas utilize large French and sliding glass doors to open up the space to the outside, effectively creating covered terraces with rich wood, cloth, velvet, and leather furnishings. In the winter, Il Podere becomes an enchanting and cozy refuge from the cold and snow, with six stone fireplaces, a sauna and steam shower, and comfy couches throughout. Despite the grandeur of the home, it’s still a warm and intimate space, making it the perfect place to cuddle up with a cup of cocoa and watch the snowfall on the valley below. The kitchen was tailor-made for entertaining, and some of the world’s top chefs have prepared meals with its amenities, including stainless steel Wolf gas stoves and ovens. An island in the center features a hollow space that’s ideal for serving iced drinks, and with the wood-burning pizza oven, the entire family can take part in dinner prep and cooking. The grounds surrounding the home appear to be lifted straight from a Tuscan vineyard. An infinity edge hot tub is perched on the edge of a cliff, creating a recirculating waterfall that can be seen from the road far below. The heated pool is surrounded by chaise lounges, and the large pergola in front of the pool house provides tranquil shade all summer. A few more of the home’s incredible amenities include easy to use Smart Home technology, a full outdoor tennis court, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a billiards room, a private professional-quality cinema, a 1,200-bottle wine cellar, a full fitness room, and walking paths through beautiful gardens. Even with all this seclusion and privacy, you’re still only 15 minutes from downtown Edwards, 18 minutes to Beaver Creek, less than 30 minutes to Vail, and 30 minutes to the local airport. The onsite caretaker has their own residence and will act as your private chauffeur as well as keep roads and walkways clear of snow in the winter. Il Podere is nothing short of celestial. Whether you spend an entire season here or just a quick week-long getaway, you and your guests will have an unrivaled Vail vacation experience. Benvenuto to Il Podere. (see less)
