Relish the mountain-spanning views.Remember the mountainous grins. Proving that you can’t spell retreat without the word “treat,” a stay at this very spacious home will create instant memories for your family and friends. The question is, how many of those family and friends are coming along? This 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom townhome sleeps up to 10 people comfortably, with room for six in beds, two on the sleeper, one on a fold-out futon, and another on the foldout chair in the loft. But sleeping will be the last thing on your mind as you play a friendly game of billiards, relax with some bubbly in the outdoor hot tub, or watch the latest big game or big-hit movie on the large, communal flat-screen TV. You’ll then want to spread out for some downtime, no doubt. Guests also have access to their own in-room flat screen (perfect for avoiding squabbles over the remote), an adjacent private bath, awe-inspiring deck views – and for those staying in the master bedroom – their very own gas fireplace. Cuddling optional.

If you are even able to drag your guests from such luxurious living, Mount-High Retreat is just a 10-minute drive from historic, downtown Breckenridge and only a 150-yard dash from the free shuttle to both town and ski lifts. However, we might suggest a leisurely stroll so you can enjoy the quaint and quiet neighborhood and the bucolic and breathtaking views along the way.

Whether you come for the mountain-sized exterior or the cozy-feeling interior, this retreat is truly easy living…made even easier for you.

Beatiful house and great view

This was our second stay at this house, which is equipped with practically everything, to a high standard. It's perfect for 6 to 8 people. Great views of the ski hills across the valley with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The location, 15 minutes outside Breckenridge, might be a disadvantage for people who want to go to a restaurant every night, but we enjoyed cooking meals at the house so it wasn't a problem for us.

Couples Retreat

This rental house was everything we could have imagined! It had plenty of space for 10 and was very quiet and peaceful. The shuttle was great and was only a hundred yards from the house. It would take us everywhere we needed to go for either skiing or out on the town. The hot tub was used everyday after we came back from the slopes, which helped the healing process and relaxing after long days on the mountain. This was such a great experience I think the same group will try and make this a regular trip.

Spring Skiing in Colorado
With 28 world-class resorts, Colorado is arguably the epicenter of North American ski culture. And spring is quite possibly the best time of year to ski these majestic mountains. The high elevation often brings “blue bird” conditions in ...the months of March and April. Complete with sunny, blue skies that make spring skiing so enjoyable – it’s a unique treat that Coloradans cherish. The best part? You typically don’t have to sacrifice excellent snow conditions to enjoy the milder weather. March and April are often the heaviest months for Colorado snowfall, so you’re equally likely to be cruising through fresh powder as you are to be getting a suntan. Now how’s that for a two-for-one?
