Welcome to pure mountainside bliss, situated on 153 acres of iconic Telluride terrain.

Revel in all its majesty.

You may be at the trail's end, but this is just the beginning.

And it can be all yours.

Visible from indoors or out, this sprawling log cabin will not disappoint.

One many large living spaces for just hanging out, this one has a TV, wet bar, and foosball table.

On the lower level, you'll find a rec room with both ping pong and shuffleboard.

This is not your father's grill.

Contemplate what you'll do today out on your expansive outdoor deck.

Even the entryway is majestic, and is just a taste of all that is to come.

Though please do take the time to admire the carefully crafted woodwork before you explore.

Tall ceilings, big windows and wood-burning fireplace adorn the main, open living room.

You're sure to be in awe of the one-of-a-kind, interior design.

Play a tune at the piano to fill the air with even a little more joy.

Yes, now we're cooking.

There's plenty of space to prepare for your next gourmet meal.

And plenty of seating for a more formal dinner as well, with a table that seats up to 8.

It opens up to the living room should you have a few more.

The main level has a full bathroom, with its relaxing bathtub.

The wet bar on the main level provides some added convenience.

Just a few feet away, is the den with TV.

Beyond the comfortable couch, you'll notice it opens up to even more living space.

With a small breakfast bar (and telescope), nestled in between.

You can keep a keen eye on the activity as you prepare your next delicious meal.

The his or hers half bath on the main level even invites character.

Head upstairs and you'll be greeted by a small landing area.

Down the hall on the upper level, you'll find the master with a king bed and small balcony.

That's a full, pull-out couch hiding on the landing.

Just look at the attention to detail from floor to ceiling.

Around the corner of the bed, you'll find the master's en-suite bathroom.

It too is quite spacious, with a dual sink vanity.

It has a walk-in shower...

...and large, jetted tub.

The second bedroom hosts a queen bed and a suite-like feel.

There's even a little working area should you need to get a few things done.

Guests in this room get a balcony all their own.

And an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

The third guestroom has a queen bed as well, and plenty of storage space.

It provides Jack and Jill bathroom access just a few steps away.

Guest bedrooms 3 and 4 will share this bathroom and walk-in shower with heat lamps for added comfort.

A single-standing sink accents the room's rustic charm.

The fourth guest bedroom features big blue walls and a comfortable queen bed.

But of course it wouldn't truly be part of them home if it didn't accentuate that log cabin feel.

The final guest bedroom is obviously great for the kids, and with 6 twin beds, we hope they'll eventually try to sleep.

And while it's on the third floor, the open balcony allows for open communication.

A nice little mudroom will keep the outdoors where it belongs.

There's plenty of space to take off you boots and hang your skis.

Even the laundry room has plenty of space.

There's even an extra fridge to stock up on groceries, so you only have to shop once.

So get ready for the whole family to have infinite acres of fun.

The tub is always hot, even when the air is not.

But the amenities of this home will not.

A Colorado experience doesn't get much better than this.

Marvel at the views.

It's nature in its purest form.

And enjoy the seemingly endless space.

Embrace its rustic charm.

If you just let it in.

It might be time to experience a different side of Telluride. It’s a side that is both serene and secluded, yet nestled at the base of the Hope Lake hiking trail and just a 20-minute ride to town. And in this scenic, mountain-view valley, on 153 private acres, sits a home where you can call the bubbling brooks, flowing waterfalls, and remote lakes all your own. It’s name is Valley of the Peaks, but you can just call it for what it really is: a mountainside paradise.

So let’s hop right to it, as we have an 8,000-square-foot log cabin to cover. And we don’t want you to miss a thing, because this 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath ranch leaves lots to discuss. Beginning with the custom-wood design that carries throughout. Just picture yourself as some sort of vacation frontiersman, settling your family into the unique, rustic retreat you so rightfully deserve. Then continue to explore the space. There’s definitely plenty of it. Start in the living room, where everyone can grab a comfortable seat, admire the woodwork, gaze out the giant windows, or just relax by the fire. Yes, this is the true Colorado side of life.

But there’s more. So much more. Like in the spacious modern kitchen with an island breakfast bar for four, and such a plethora of counter space, you couldn’t possibly ask for more. The adjacent formal dining room comfortably seats eight, but with the main level’s open design, you can certainly spread out to accommodate plenty more. However, finding your family around here - let alone getting them to sit still for a proper meal - can be quite the challenge.

Allow us to help. Be sure to check the rec room first. They may be in a heated battle of ping pong or shuffleboard, or sneaking in a quick workout in the fitness nook. Of course, they could be in the media room, watching a movie on the large TV, playing foosball, or at the 5-seat wet bar just enjoying a casual drink. And be sure to poke your head into the 6-bed loft, the kids usually love it up there. Finally, you’ll want to check the multiple tubs both indoors and out. Because at Valley of the Peaks, gathering your group all together in one single place...just might be the biggest vacation challenge you face.

Telluride: Southwestern Colorado's Modern Playground
November 11, 2016 Many resorts brag about how their town is a state of mind, not a place; Telluride seems to have taken that concept to heart. By want of its location, it really couldn’t be any other way. It’s certainly one of the most remote among ...Colorado’s major ski resorts, located in the state’s southwestern corner 65 miles from Montrose, the nearest major airport with commercial service (although limited flights into Telluride’s own lofty airstrip will resume this winter). It’s well over 300 miles from Denver. The town itself is located in a box canyon, a narrow cul-de-sac with a flat valley floor and thousand-foot high walls on three sides. Bridal Veil Falls – a scenic attraction in summer and one of the nation’s most difficult multi-pitch ice climbs in winter – is at the head of the valley. Free cross-country ski trails traverse the valley floor, making a pleasant alternative to downhill skiing for an afternoon. (see less)

Taco del nar
Taco del Gnar comes to Telluride
October 28, 2016 The popular Ridgway establishment Taco del Gnar will officially be opening its doors in Telluride on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Curtis Blanton, the executive chef and owner, and his wife Chas Blanton said that it took them about two years to find an ...affordable spot that would work in Telluride. With the help of a friend who purchased the building, they were able to rent out the first level and make their second location a reality. Prior to the restaurant, the building was home to Deer Consignment. The new spot is located at 123 S. Oak St. directly behind Elks Park. “The park is part of our dining room,” Chas Blanton said. The first location in Ridgway was opened almost three years ago and has gained a reputation amongst Telluride locals. (see less)
Comment it's a great taco that will make you come back to Telluride again and again. The different tacos are awesome and incredibly well executed. The price is very reasonable by Telluride standards. I highly recommend the taco dinner for just $10. ...Family friendly and tons of local atmosphere. The staff is great and friendly to add to the restaurant's amazing style. (see less)
