Chiseled stone steps bring you to a quaint covered porch, where you can sit and pass the time in this small but bustling town. Step inside and feel the convergence of historic and new, of polished hardwood floors and distressed, dark-stained exposed beams. To your right, you’ll find a grand open floor plan with the the main living area and kitchen.
At the center of this space is an imposing stone fireplace with large iron doors and grates. Above it rests a massive live edge mantle and wall-mounted flat screen TV. Warm your feet and relax in one of the two plush sofas that are positioned around the fireplace. All around you you’ll find remnants of the West: Wrought iron chandeliers and lamps, masterfully carpentered wood window frames, and timeless exposed beams.
A granite-topped kitchen bar with seating for four separates the cozy living space from the elegant and ornate kitchen. The entire space is built with sumptuous toffee-stained knotted wood, from the refrigerator to the artful range hood. A six-burner Viking gas range makes it easy to prepare large meals, and the wine fridge and audio system are ideal for entertaining. In the corner, a round dining table has space for four, in addition to the breakfast bar. This whole space shares the large fireplace, adding warmth and comfort to any gathering.
On the top floor you’ll find the Master Bedroom. Here, a king-size bed sits majestically beneath large exposed wood beams in the ceiling. A crackling fireplace is at the end of your bed, a TV hangs above it for easy viewing, a stereo system is installed throughout, and French doors open up to a serene private balcony. The attached ensuite bathroom is gorgeously built with various stone tiles and slabs of striated granite, and has a luxurious stand-alone shower.
On the main floor, the Queen Guest Bedroom has a queen-size bed set within a magnificent wood-carved frame, a gas fireplace for chilly nights and its own TV. There’s easy access to the guest bathroom, which has a shower/tub combo. A set of doors near the bed leads directly to the outdoor patio and the hot tub.
Downstairs, a cozy bunk room has a bunk with two full beds and a twin trundle. All told, this room sleeps five, and has its own ensuite bathroom and TV.
Outside, a private patio has a hot tub for long soaks after strenuous days at any of the nearby ski resorts. On nice days, fire up the gas grill and enjoy a meal under the sun or stars at the outdoor table.
Less than five minutes from this historic home is Town Lift Plaza, where you can catch a lift that will take you halfway up Park City Mountain. Kingswood Cabin brings together everything Park City has to offer: amazing location, world-class skiing, and a comfortable place to return to after a full day of adventuring.
