Sometimes a high-end home ~ Provides all the fireworks you’ll need

We admit it: We’re a little biased here at InvitedHome. Think we randomly select our vacation destinations because they’re alluring at certain times of the year? Think again. Each location we choose to have a presence in is carefully curated based on its undeniable appeal...all year round. And one of our favorite annual events? Why it’s everyone’s favorite summertime celebration- Independence Day. What follows are a few of our favorite places to celebrate the 4th of July – and why.

Breckenridge
The Fourth of July celebration gets started early around Breck, with a 10K run, bike race, garden party, and parade all starting before 10:00am. So set your alarm and restore your American spirit by reserving one of our Breckenridge vacation rentals for the long holiday weekend. Emerald Coast
Heading to the Emerald Coast for your Fourth of July celebration? Head to one of InvitedHome’s 30A vacation rentals first. With fireworks ablaze in Seaside, Alys and Rosemary Beach - all beginning shortly after 8:00pm - your choices are plentiful, and the joy the Gulf-side sights will bring you and your family will be too. We'd also love to help you plan your full vacation with our detailed list of things to do on the Emerald Coast.

Jackson Hole
Are you an early riser? Then a Jackson Hole rental just might be the perfect spot for you. The town kicks off their Fourth of July celebration at 7:00am with a pancake breakfast, and the fireworks don’t go off until about 15 hours later around 10:00pm. In between, you’ll enjoy battle reenactments, a lively parade, an old-fashioned rodeo. To put together a longer list of things to do in Jackson Hole, check out our guide.

Lake Tahoe
Heading to one of our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals for the Fourth? We don’t blame you. Some of us are, too. From all-day beach parties, beachfront barbecues, fireworks cruises, and community parades, there is an exciting event for everyone all around the lake. Pick your spot, stay put, and let the action come to you. If you're planning a trip to North Lake Tahoe, we've got a comprehensive list of things to do in Tahoe to help you get organized.

Maui
Fancy yourself a festival or two? One of InvitedHome’s Maui rentals should do you quite well. The Lana’i Pineapple Festival and the Makawao Paniolo Rodeo and Parade both happen on July 1st, and there are always several dinner cruises setting sail on the Fourth. For the most optimal views of the firework display, those in-the-know head to sea. When the fireworks are over, check out our list of things to do in Maui to plan the rest of your vacation.

Santa Barbara
Prefer more of a traditional Fourth of July celebration? Let one of our Santa Barbara vacation rentals be your safe haven. For the best vantage points for both the parades and fireworks, we recommend heading to Goleta or Montecito - though you can’t go wrong anywhere along the waterfront. To put together an agenda for the rest of your vacation, consult our list of things to do in Santa Barbara.

Steamboat
Music lovers unite in Steamboat on the Fourth of July. Why? Their free concert series takes place throughout the ever-popular weekend. With Bruce Hornsby playing this year, the entire celebration certainly promises to be no different. If you're looking for more activities, we've put together a list of things to do in Steamboat to help you plan.

Vail/Beaver Creek
Perhaps one single community is not enough to contain your Fourth of July celebration. We understand. Head to one of our Vail and Beaver Creek rentals and get two towns for the price of one. The Vail area observes this day in style, with unique activities all the way from a parade in Golden Peak right down to the varied performances throughout the day in Vail Valley. Check out our guide to learn more about the many things to do in Vail and Beaver Creek.

Park City
The party starts early in Park City, with the famous Main Street waffle breakfast starting at 7 a.m. sharp. Once you've filled up for the day, choose from a range of community activities, such as the 5K Fun Run, a volleyball tournament, organized rugby games, live music, and more, all in the center of the historic downtown. Once dusk falls, find a spot near Park City Mountain Resort to watch the famous firework display.
