Surrounded by giant trees, Barton Creek Lodge may feel secluded, but it's actually located right on Peak 7 with quick access to skiing.

The stairs to the right lead to the loft upstairs, and down to the rec room.

The wood and stone finishes blend perfectly with the great views in this comfortable living space.

The loft can be a private getaway or a 5th bedroom. The sofa pulls out to sleep 2.

The loft makes for a happy little retreat in and of itself.

The great room has high ceilings and lots of windows, that give this cabin a bright feel.

The kitchen is compact, but has everything you need, including this stainless steel refrigerator.

The kitchen features some stainless appliances, newer cabinetry, and granite countertops.

You won't have to walk far after grilling on the back patio. The dining table for 8 is right inside.

The dining room is part of a larger great room with living area and kitchen.

Decisions, decisions... Is it going to be movie night, or a Wii marathon? The downstairs rec room has you covered either way, and sleeps 2 more via sofa sleeper.

You can hike the Peak 7 trails nearby, then work out the kinks in your private hot tub!

The main level deck has a gas grill and great views which you can enjoy via the living room or the master bedroom.

Another view of the deck, from which you'll likely see some deer and other wildlife.

The main level master bedroom has a king bed, private bath, and access to the deck.

You'll find yourself wanting to head out to the deck every morning to enjoy some coffee and quiet time.

The master bathroom (bedroom #1) has a tub/shower combo.

Bedroom #2 on the main level has a queen bed, and private bath.

The main level bathroom accessible to bedroom #2 has a tub/shower combo.

Another view of bedroom #3 downstairs.

The private bathroom for bedroom #3 downstairs has a tub/shower combo.

Another view of the rec room

Don't forget that you can sleep two more in the rec room if need be.

There's dining for 8 people at the table and 4 seats at the bar for dinner.

The wood slatted walls remind you that you're at a cabin in the woods. There's plenty of closet space too.

The lower level bedroom #3 has a queen bed with private bath, and flatscreen TV.

The lower level bedroom #4 has twin beds and a private bath.

The house blends into it's surroundings nicely.

The lower level patio is where you'll find the hot tub. It's easily accessible from the rec room.

Ever wonder what it’s truly like to stay in a cabin in the woods? You know, away from the crowds and the chaos, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Just maybe you, and up to 9 of your closest friends, roughing it on the side of a mountain while you become one with nature? Well, at Barton Creek Lodge in Breckenridge, you can wonder no more. Here’s a little bit about what “roughing it” here is like.

Begin with 2,200-feet of living space located in the Peak 7 neighborhood, complete with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 parking spaces, and a separate sleeping area that can comfortably accommodate 10 adults. Next, get your heat the old-fashioned way by huddling around the ornate, wood-burning fireplace in the main living area. Or, you know, turn on your central heating. Properly warmed yet? Then head out to your deck to view the surrounding mountains that you will conquer tomorrow. With your next-day plan of attack in place, take a stroll across the creaky floor and ascend upstairs to the loft for a little R&R. Once rested, head to the quaint kitchen to feed the hungry mouths after your long day on the mountain. Of course, one cannot truly experience the great outdoors without the help of some libations in the outdoor hot tub.

Okay, okay. We get it. There’s no such thing as “roughing it” when you choose lodging from InvitedHome. But this charmingly rustic, hillside cabin is about as close as you’ll get. It at least has that authentic feel you covet on your next Breck vacation. And while you’re never going to fool your friends that en-suite bathrooms to every bedroom and spending all day watching TV in a rec room is the rugged life, maybe you can earn their respect by roughing it. Don’t worry – we won’t tell them about having the luxury and ease of parking with your 2 free gondola parking passes that are included with your stay during winter. Everyone is entitled to some luxury!

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

Simply amazing. I recently took a short vacation with some friends and had an absolute ball at this home. It was clean and well-laid out. The views over the mountains from the deck and hot tub were both stunning, and it was a quick car ride to downtown Breckenridge for a bit to eat, a grocery run, or to the gondola to Peak 8 on the slopes. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing Stay

We had a wonderful stay with InvitedHome Breckenridge! We were actually in a home that experienced a power outage the day after we arrived - the people at Invited Home were kind enough to work with us and find a different home that had power and make sure we were well situated! We really appreciated their flexibility and attentiveness and will stay again soon! Thanks for a great trip!

For 65 hours straight, the teams use only hand tools to chip, saw and shape the snow with an astounding level of detail and creativity. So dress warm and get your hot chocolate to go.
