The International Snow Sculpture Championships, now in its 26th year, will bring teams of sculptors from around the world to carve 12-foot, 20-ton snow ...monoliths into mind-blowing sculptures. Past sculptures ranged from buildings, people and animals, to depictions of historical and mythical events. Previous teams have come from far-flung places like Mongolia and Lithuania, as well as snow-deprived countries like Mexico, to use their brilliant, visionary ideas and sculpting skills to convert giant, cold, white cubes into works of art. For 65 hours straight, the teams use only hand tools to chip, saw and shape the snow with an astounding level of detail and creativity. So dress warm and get your hot chocolate to go. Uber, the popular ride-sharing service, which has operated in Colorado’s larger cities since 2013, has recently expanded Learn More. into the counties that include the state’s most beloved ski resorts. Powderhounds in Breckenridge, ...Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, Aspen/Snowmass and Steamboat Springs can now use their Uber app to hail a driver to whisk them to and from the slopes, a cozy apres ski venue or to safely enjoy the area’s nightlife. Uber is an excellent choice for people who take a shuttle from the airport to their resort town and would like an easy way to get around, as well as for people who don’t like driving in snow and ice, or at night. Mountain town drivers live in the area and know how to get from point A to point B without any trouble. (see less)

New Restaurant Coming to Breckenridge's Peak 7
November 10, 2016 Skiers and snowboarders soon will have a new dining option at 11,000 feet. Vail Resorts announced it will build a 490-seat food court-style restaurant at the top of Breckenridge’s Peak 7 in its quarterly report, which the company filed with the ...SEC yesterday. John Buhler, Breckenridge’s COO, said the restaurant will bridge the gap between hungry skiers on the resort’s Peak 6, which opened three years ago, and the nearest restaurant on Peak 8. (see less)
