The festival grounds are in downtown Telluride, between the San Juan and Wilson mountain ranges, for the most amazing mountain view you can imagine. This stunning natural backdrop is just one reason Telluride Bluegrass has become one of the most highly regarded festivals in the world.

Come for the bluegrass. Stay for the stars. The festival isn’t limited to just bluegrass artists. While the festival is traditionally inspired by its bluegrass roots, it has evolved to become much more than that.

Each year brings new and diverse artists to Telluride.

Previous years have seen many living legends, including Robert Plant, Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne, Elvis Costello, and Emmylou Harris. They’ve also welcomed pop and rock chart-toppers, like Mumford & Sons, Barenaked Ladies, and the Counting Crows, as well as indie darlings, like Ryan Adams, Ani DiFranco, and The Decemberists.

And of course, epic sets by righteous bluegrass pickers, like Bela Fleck, Steve Martin, Peter Rowan, and the “King of Telluride” himself, Sam Bush.

You don’t need to be a regular attendee to notice all the entertainment and outdoor activities available in Telluride. You’ll have plenty of time to take a hike or go for a horseback ride in the morning before the festival begins.

Stumble upon an impromptu jam session in your neighborhood at night. Pedal down a trail to the nearest natural hot spring. Visit a historic ghost town, or make new friends around the campgrounds.
