The main living area, located on the third floor, has a large leather sectional and matching armchairs spread out over a rich hardwood floor. Overhead, sloped ceilings give the room a grand feel, and on the far wall, sliding glass doors and high windows create a masterpiece of mountain views. Perhaps the room’s most exquisite amenity is the magnificent gas fireplace, where pine trees and pine cones are carved into white stone tiles. Surrounding this centerpiece, natural wood cabinets house a large flat screen TV and a kitchenette. It’s an exemplary show of elegant space for entertaining.
From this room, step outside on to the huge private deck, which looks out over the Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Outdoor furniture is ready for you to enjoy al fresco dining, and the gas grill and heater add to the experience.
The living area shares a large open concept floor plan with the dining area, where a round table can seat up to seven guests. Between here and the kitchen is additional lounge space with two more easy chairs, as well as a long breakfast bar that seats six guests.
The kitchen is classic and warm, and is an excellent space for gathering. A long island provides plenty of prep space on granite countertops, and opposite this, sumptuous wood cabinets are in keeping with the theme of the home. Stainless steel appliances, such as the oven, 4-burner gas stove, and range hood, all make cooking a treat.
Take the stairs down to the second floor to find the Master Bedroom, which has a king-size bed. It’s in here where you’ll find a respite from your busy Tahoe vacation, and you can relax next to your own gas fireplace in a leather easy chair. Step through the sliding glass door to lounge on your own private deck, set below the main deck upstairs. The ensuite bathroom has a large double vanity, a bathtub, and a luxurious walk-in shower.
The second bedroom is also on this mid-level floor, and has a queen-size bed, a leather armchair, and sliding barn doors outside the closet.
The bottom floor houses two more bedrooms and two additional living areas. One bedroom has a single queen-size bed, and the other has two twin beds. There’s a fun and relaxing den with a poker table, a slot machine, and two sofas, and a cozy media room with six oversized armchairs surrounding a big screen TV. There’s also plenty of throw pillow and cushions on the floor for comfortable family nights in.
This home is certainly spectacular, yet its impeccable location can’t be overlooked. Walk just two minutes from the house and you’ll start following a famous mountain biking trail (The Diamond Peak Loop or Tyrolean DH Trail, depending who you ask), which winds along Incline Creek. Skiing is virtually in your backyard, and the beach is a short drive away.
