Welcome to your grand dining room. You'll want to take your time at every meal.

While you cannot get your boat to your private dock, you certainly can take in the view from it (and park the boat at a buoy).

Lots of fun will be had in the billiards room, complete with a wet bar and one of the many fireplaces.

On the lower-level patio, partake in a relaxing soak in your hot tub as you enjoy a view of the lake.

Or get a good view of the lake from the living room, complete with it's high ceilings and open layout.

The enormous TV and wood-burning fireplace are always a nice touch.

The expansive kitchen is any chef's dream, and the breakfast bar that seats 4 helps even more.

The beautiful counters are what you'd expect, but the views from the kitchen you probably would not.

A restaurant-quality stove and convenient island will surely come in handy during your stay.

Yes, these appliances are truly top of the line.

There's even a wet bar in the kitchen should you need a little motivation to cook.

The breakfast nook just off the kitchen opens up to your deck.

For more formal meals, head to the dining area in the grand living space, it comfortably seats 8.

You'll be spending a lot of time out on your deck just enjoying the expansive views.

There are also two half bathrooms, and this one resides on the main level.

On the third floor you'll find the master bedroom, as well as more incredible views, giant windows, and high ceilings.

The master comes with everything a master needs, like a California king, cozy fireplace, flatscreen TV and en-suite bathroom.

Space will not be an issue in your en suite, with two sinks and a jetted soaking tub to soothe the soul at the end of the day.

There's also a spacious walk-in shower if that's more your speed.

Need to get a little work done? Then the third floor office loft is your spot.

On the main level, the second guest bedroom comes with a king. And a wonderful view.

Get an even better view out on the adjacent private deck.

The second guest bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom of course.

The third guest bedroom has two full beds and the usual great views.

The third bedroom's en suite comes with convenient dual sinks and a walk-in shower.

The fourth bedroom comes with a queen, and, do we even have to say it? More great views.

Just a single sink and walk-in shower in this en suite, but we think you'll survive.

The final bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of space.

You'll find a shower/tub combo in this bedroom's en suite.

Grab a seat on the comfy leather couch after a competitive game of pool.

When even the laundry room looks this good, you know you're in the right place.

The look of true luxury.

An architectural marvel.

You'll feel nervous excitement the second you arrive, but just wait until you see what's inside.

Sometimes you just have to go all in. And there’s no better place to do just that than with a visit to The Gilded Edge. Located lakeside in Tahoe City, this 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home is a sprawling tutorial on opulence, and you deserve every bit of it. So go ahead. Treat your family to that extravagant vacation you’ve always dreamed of. Because your time here will certainly feel like a dream for the entire length of your stay.

Where to even begin? Let’s start with the location of the home itself. Perched high upon a hill overlooking Lake Tahoe, each room comes with a view. Yes, when you head out to your expansive patio, you’ll be able to continuously look down on your 100-foot private beach. Your own private dock with plenty of buoys. And what will feel like your very own piece of the lake. When you’re done wondering why you have it so good, head inside for a myriad of surprises. First, head to the kitchen to greet all your high-end appliances. Something scrumptious is sure to be prepared in here. Next, take a few small steps over to the large living area, complete with a giant TV and cozy fireplace. Be sure to take a look up at the ornate beam work and the open and airy layout. It’s okay. Your involuntary scream of “awesome” is not uncommon.

But the rest of the home is. The bedrooms are, of course, bigger than they need to be, with the master truly a marvel to look at, with its wall-to-wall windows, towering ceiling, and sitting area by the fireplace. Taking a load off has never felt so good. The massive dining area can comfortably seat eight, but add in the adjacent breakfast bar, and you’ve got room for four more. After your delicious meal, make your way downstairs for a game of billiards, a good flick in the media area, or just kick back and enjoy the view from your hot tub out on your second patio. Just remember to fix yourself a lovely beverage at the wet bar beforehand. After all, you’ll want minimal interruptions when you’re having such an unbelievable time. And even as you feel you’re in a completely different world, it’s important to remember you’re just 15-minute drive to Squaw and 25 minutes to Northstar. You know, if you can ever drag yourself from the lavish luxuries of The Gilded Edge.
