The Ferrari name is synonymous with power, beauty, and exclusivity. Villa Sevillano exudes these very same qualities with features that are unequaled in the Santa Barbara area. And best of all, they come standard.

Set on 22+ acres and commanding sweeping Pacific views, this estate has gorgeous grounds that encompass equestrian facilities, a private equestrian exercise field, olive and citrus orchards, formal gardens, and an infinity edge pool with spa. Fine, Old World craftsmanship and luxurious modern amenities characterize the newly-built 6-bedroom, 10,378+-sq.-ft. residence in the Italian villa style. Rare for its immense acreage abutting the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, this secluded estate provides all the horsepower you'll ever need, including 54-stall stables, an exercise field with a trail accessing the club grounds, and superb indoor/outdoor spaces for the best in California living.

The gated entrance opens to a long driveway through grounds punctuated with over 200+ olive trees. Past a citrus grove, a circular drive opens into the motor court with a pair of two-car and three-car garages. Built in 2009, the dramatic villa incorporates a red tile roof, stucco facade, iron balconies, and classical limestone-carved columns and pediment entrance. A front garden patio features palms centering a picturesque koi pond with a fountain.

Expansive views over the equestrian exercise field to the ocean beyond greet visitors from the foyer. Gracious and inviting, the ocean view living room features a herringbone oak floor, hand-stenciled beams, and a wood/gas fireplace with an antique Italian stone mantel. Eight sets of French doors open to the front patio garden and to the rear covered travertine veranda above the exercise field, with sea views through grand eucalyptus. An adjacent formal dining room features a carved fireplace and French doors opening to a patio with a fountain.

A breakfast room overlooking the pool opens into the spacious family room with a beamed ceiling featuring hand-painted stencils. Three sets of French doors access the formal rose gardens enclosed by a boxwood hedge, a lawn with magnolia and palm trees, and the infinity edge pool and spa edged by travertine. The first floor also includes a guest bedroom with en suite bath in travertine and an antique marble-topped and inlaid Anglo-Indian-style sink commode. A luxurious guest powder room has custom ironwork, travertine, and a sink comprised of Michelangelo marble and a beautiful carved antique Italian bowl. A downstairs office or studio enjoys sweeping ocean views, a custom wet bar with black marble and an attached full bath in black marble.

The second-floor features three bedrooms with en suite baths in Carrara marble. Each bedroom affords a unique view of the Santa Ynez Mountains, lush grounds, or the ocean. A sitting room opens to the well-appointed master suite overlooking the exercise field and ocean with two sets of French doors opening to a private patio. A travertine gas fireplace, ornate iron fixtures, sitting area with wet bar, and custom cabinet hiding a LCD TV combine for a comfortably luxurious setting. His and her closets are generously-proportioned. His bath is in travertine with warmly-toned custom cabinetry and a separate toilet. Her bath encompasses a dressing room with custom vanity and cabinetry which adjoins a vast walk-in closet. Views of the exercise field and sparkling sea can be enjoyed from a freestanding soaking tub next to a gas fireplace. The sink commode is topped with Michelangelo marble and hand-painted with a delicate design reflected on the ceiling beams. There is direct access to a Jacuzzi deck with ocean and mountain views.

The lowest level of the home, which can be accessed by elevator, is centered by an enormous recreation room with four sets of French doors accessing the exercise field. One end is grounded by a custom bar with honed black granite counters and Uline Echelon freezer and refrigerator drawers. A nine-seat carpeted theater or media room is fully wired with in-wall audio, perfect for a showing of The Italian Job. The wine room features a rock accent wall, separate cooling system, wine refrigerator, wine storage, and wet bar. Two ample storage rooms lead to a laundry room with sink, cabinets, and Whirlpool washer and dryer. A carpeted staff bedroom with sink, small refrigerator, and en suite bath, connects to a stairway to the kitchen.

This quiet, pristine estate is an unparalleled opportunity for those with equine or refined country living interests, and is situated in a prime location for quick access to the highway and beaches. Just close your eyes, and dream of Sicily.

“What does an event producer look for when trying to find the perfect property for his own wedding? Well…we needed something that can house family, we needed land to host many events (whereby one event can be happening while the other was finishing), we needed it to be lush, have beautiful views, and most importantly – a property that would allow us to make our day our own. Villa Sevillano has it all. Jim and his team are so welcoming and were a pleasure to work with during the entire process. Our guests still cant get over the sprawling grounds and wonderful interiors and exteriors the property has to offer.”

Santa Barbara Travel Guide
December 11, 2016 The city calls itself the American Riviera, and if you travel to Santa Barbara you'll see why: This central coast city, which sits on an idyllic stretch of coastline and is sheltered by the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains, has a ...Mediterranean-like climate and a civility that feels downright European. In fact, it once was European: the Spanish settled the city in the 1600s, and the Mission Santa Barbara is still one of the city's most treasured landmarks. Given the city's sophisticated charm—and high prices—many celebrities have made a Santa Barbara visit over the years, from Charlie Chaplin, who built a hotel, to Oprah Winfrey, who has a house nearby.
