Take the guilt out of traveling to wine country with your kids by staying at Villa Chaparral. While you plan a vineyard tour of Santa Ynez, the kids will be happily exploring nearly 4 acres of fully fenced, beautifully landscaped grounds featuring an in-ground pool, trampoline, and ping pong table. Located in Santa Barbara, but close to the route to wine country, this spectacular gated French Country Estate is close to everything but feels worlds apart. With soaring beam ceilings and large expansive rooms, each with en-suite bath, this home is ideal for extended families and groups of friends looking for luxurious accommodations.

The main house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated, complete with formal dining room, sitting room and separate great room offering a gourmet kitchen, breakfast nook and comfortable seating area. The downstairs master bedroom is light and spacious with French doors leading out to the pool area. A bonus room just outside the master features extra sleeping options as well as a crib and changing table. Children will delight in the playroom upstairs, complete with books, toys and a TV for watching movies. A wisteria arbor leads to the separate guesthouse, offering two bedrooms, one bath, and a shared living area with kitchenette.

The charming, elegant grounds beautifully compliment the graceful interior of this property. Multiple seating areas and lounges are available for sunbathing, as well as tucked away areas in the shade. The outdoor fireplace is wonderful during the evenings, and the swimming pool can be enjoyed all day long. This lovely property provides an excellent experience of Santa Barbara life, just 5 minutes to La Cumbre Shopping Mall, 10 minutes to Hendry’s Beach, and half an hour from the best that Santa Barbara wine country has to offer.

Stunning Chateau for Families

My family of 10 stayed at Villa Chaparral for 3 nights and wished we could stay for months! We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years and this by far was the best place ever. There was something for everyone here. My parents loved the outdoor fireplace and gorgeous property, my kids LOVED the play equipment and trampoline, and we loved how well appointed everything was. The property and house were extremely well maintained. From the cleanliness of the pool, to the landscape surrounding the entire property, to the gorgeous bedrooms and bathrooms and to the fully stocked kitchen. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

An oasis awaits you as you drive through the gate

When you drive through the gates, it's like entering another world. The description doesn't do it justice, it is a beautiful setting, and a lovely home. I would highly recommend this home for families with children, the property is spacious and offers room for many activities. We were just minutes away from the Zoo, the beach, the Pier, parks and great restaurants. It was hard to leave, and we look forward to a return visit in the future.

Awesome family stay!

Our family had such a lovely time at this property. We got married in Santa Barbara and wanted our family to be able to stay together for the weekend. There were 10 adults and four kids, ages 10 and 12. The house has a large play room with bunk beds and a day bed that is perfect for kids. The kids also LOVED the trampoline and the pool. The bathrooms on the first floor (1/2 bath and full bath with shower) are both accessible with handrails. The master bedroom on the first floor is truly beautiful. The master has two separate large closets and two separate bathrooms with a shower in the middle -- truly a perfect setup for a couple. Each bedroom on the second floor has its own bathroom. The carriage house also has nice features. It has two bedrooms, a full bath and a half bath. There is also a small fridge and a common living room. The Invited Home staff is consistently responsive and does their best to accommodate special requests. We were even able to check in early. We are so happy we rented this house, and our family really enjoyed themselves.
