Don’t be fooled by the name. Aspenglow is defined as “a reddish glow seen near sunset or sunrise on the summits of mountains.” And no place is this atmospheric experience more evident than at Aspenglow Chalet in Breckenridge. Don’t believe us? One peek out your soaring floor-to-ceiling windows ought to do the trick. Get an even closer look by hopping in your soothing outdoor hot tub at dawn or dusk. (It’s right outside on your sprawling deck.) Yes, the views from the 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath hillside retreat boast brilliant sight lines to the mountains from virtually every angle. And you’ll want to explore each and every one of them during your stay.

But first, let’s explore all the sophisticated elegance that’s on display inside. You’ll want to begin in the main living space on the second floor, as this will be undoubtedly where most of your memories are made. The sky-high ceilings should be echoing with laughter in no time. Just get a toasty fire going in the fireplace, grab a seat in an authentic log chair or on the inviting couch, and let the uncontrollable giggles begin. Once you’ve laughed up a hearty appetite, continue the conversation over a delicious gourmet meal prepared from your overly stocked kitchen. The dining area can easily seat ten, with three more at the breakfast bar. Bon appétit!

Once everyone’s properly nourished, you’ll want to head down to the lower level where you’ll find a modern movie and game room that should easily fit all your indoor entertainment needs. Also on the first floor are three varying bedrooms. From a queen-sized bed to a series of custom twins and rustic bunk beds for the kids, you’ll have no problem accommodating guests of all ages down here. For a more high-end sleeping experience, you’ll need to wind your way up the elegant staircase to the third and fourth floors. It is here you’ll find not one but two master bedrooms, complete with their king beds and convenient en-suite bathrooms. And the fifth bedroom, with twin beds and its own bathroom just outside its door, is on the top floor as well. Perfect for families that want to always keep the kids close by.

But the true star of course, is all that awaits you in that fresh mountain air. So be sure to head out to your expansive deck. Relax in one of the many chairs or the roomy hot tub. And just unwind and enjoy your well-earned view. Because when you stay at Aspenglow Chalet, the mountains won’t be the only thing glowing.

Beautiful Location & Home

Per my review, I would give this home 4.8 stars. There were some minor issues with the home that we found to be small issues, but still could be avoided with easy maintenance. The appliances in the kitchen were broke when we arrived (Top rack in the dishwasher was broke and caused a few glasses to break, top oven didn't heat correctly for food to be cooked. As for my families stay, we absolutely loved the location and home. We had a great experience here and thought that the house was incredibly built. The views were breath-taking and very easy to walk to and from main street.

Wonderful!

We brought our children and grand-children together for a surprise 65th birthday weekend for my husband. The house was beautiful and full of amenities. There was something for everyone in the family and everyone had a wonderful time. Would definitely consider staying here again.

What You Should Know

What We love

  • Screaming down the nearby sledding hill with “Sunshine on Your Shoulders.” It makes you happy
  • Listening to the kids shout “Rocky Mountain High” as they claim the top bunk in the Wild West-themed bunk room.
  • Resting in one of the two king masters or two twin masters, which fortunately smell nothing like your “Grandma's Feather Bed.”

What to know

  • There are many stairs and the bedrooms are located on the third floor, so older guests and young children may find it difficult.
  • The free shuttle stop is about 250 yds down the street
  • Parking is only available in the garage and on the driveway, parking on the street is not tolerated

What to expect after booking

  • You'll receive a confirmation email shortly after booking.
  • If you've booked more than 60 days prior to your arrival date, we'll send you an email requesting your final payment as that date gets closer.
  • Once you're paid in full, we'll send you an email with the check-in information for your stay, including property access and who to call in case of a problem.

The Particulars

Check-in is at 4:00pm & CHECK-OUT 10:00am

We’re always happy to make you happy. In some cases, it may be possible to grant an earlier check-in or later check-out depending on the booking and maintenance schedule. However, early check-in and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed until 24 hours prior to check-in or check-out date. Please “check-in” with our team for further details.

Cancellation Policy

  • Hit the "Book Now" button a bit too soon? No worries. We offer a 24-hour grace period where any reservation made is eligible for a full refund. Hey, it happens.

  • Your initial payment is 30% of the total, with the remaining balance due 60 days out from checkin. After the 24 hour grace period, all payments become non-refundable.

  • We encourage you to double check everything before you book to make sure you've selected that perfect home, at the ideal time. And while we're on the subject of peace of mind, ask us about our travel insurance package. It's just another amenity we offer to make booking your stay as relaxing as possible.
