So breathtaking, it comes with its own oxygen. That’s right. Each bedroom in this unbelievable, 4,000 square foot, 4-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home comes equipped with an oxygen system that mimics being at a lower altitude of 6,000 feet. Even though you’re at 10,000. So breathe easy. Because we’re just getting started.

Let’s talk about your arrival first. No vehicles are allowed here. After all, how would you even get one here? Cabin on the Ridge sits about halfway up the mountain, equidistant to both of Telluride’s town areas, and only accessible via the free Gondola or electric vehicles. You simply park off-site in the free lot, and your luggage will magically appear at the cabin. Concierges are rather wizardly that way.

Once you’ve ascended to The Ridge, get ready to experience the new standard in ski-in/ski-out living. Guaranteed first powder. Awe-inspiring views. And the ultimate private property for maximum peace and quiet. You know, when you’re not laughing and clinking glasses in the outdoor hot tub or enjoying the state-of-the-art sound system from your very own media/theater room. You can also get a workout off the slopes in your heavily windowed exercise room overlooking the mountain, and then take a soothing steam shower to get out any remaining kinks. And don’t worry about any neighbors. You don’t have any. You’ve got all the company you need, right under your roof.

And what’s under that roof? Oh, how about kings in three bedrooms, with en-suite baths in two. A kitchen that would make even the greatest chef jealous, and a dining room to accommodate the hungriest mouths after a long day on the slopes. Happen to pick up a few friends along the way? Simply roll out a couple of hotel-quality twin beds and they can slumber in style. And on the off chance you need to actually get a little work done, Cabin on the Ridge has an office space, too. All this with the added amenities of the private Ridge Club that’s right out your door, and the only stones unturned are the ones that surround all the fireplaces. May we suggest you leave those alone and just enjoy your vacation on the edge of perfection.

Telluride Film Festival
The Telluride Film Festival (TFF) made its debut amidst the majestic San Juan Mountains in 1973. Telluride had always been a scene for cinematic legends, harking back to the days when such stars as Houdini, the Marx Brothers, and Sarah Bernhardt ...journeyed to Telluride to entertain miners in the Sheridan Opera House. Today, that very same Sheridan Opera House is still one of three formal venues of the TFF (the others include Chuck Jones’ Cinema and the Werner Herzog Theater). And the stars that flock to this Telluride festival have only gotten progressively bigger. (see less)

Small Town, Big Thrills Await Skiers in Telluride
November 11, 2016 A sapphire sky on a sunny day. The aroma of rich, creamy mushroom soup. Larmandier-Bernier Champagne chilling. Bon Vivant restaurant puts a luxurious twist on the skier's outdoor picnic lunch — just one of the refined touches at Telluride Ski ...Resort, where the season kicks off Nov. 24. (see less)

36 Hours in Telluride, Colorado
October 28, 2016 There are steeper ski resorts than Telluride. There are ski resorts that get more snow. But few places are more friendly and prettier than this town at the end of a box canyon in the tall San Juan Mountains, a place so cinematic that Quentin ...Tarantino was here last winter filming his forthcoming western, “The Hateful Eight.” Beauty and great skiing keep pulling the money here, and that keeps refreshing the scene. But it’s the people who make this place interesting — a quirky stew of Patagonia-clad men who look as if they came straight from base camp; flushed women direct from their 10-mile runs; still others reciting poetry in bordello-wear at a Colorado Avenue bar; and gray-ponytailed hippies who play “Sugar Magnolia” so often you’d think Jerry Garcia never went to that great jam fest in the sky. Telluride isn’t just a ski area; it’s a way of life. (see less)
Comment This is an amazing short re-cap of what Telluride has to offer.  But let me say after a few hours you'll realize you want a few more days or weeks in the is incredibly gorgeous mountain oasis. Taco del nar
Taco del Gnar comes to Telluride
October 28, 2016 The popular Ridgway establishment Taco del Gnar will officially be opening its doors in Telluride on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Curtis Blanton, the executive chef and owner, and his wife Chas Blanton said that it took them about two years to find an ...affordable spot that would work in Telluride. With the help of a friend who purchased the building, they were able to rent out the first level and make their second location a reality. Prior to the restaurant, the building was home to Deer Consignment. The new spot is located at 123 S. Oak St. directly behind Elks Park. “The park is part of our dining room,” Chas Blanton said. The first location in Ridgway was opened almost three years ago and has gained a reputation amongst Telluride locals. (see less)
Comment it's a great taco that will make you come back to Telluride again and again. The different tacos are awesome and incredibly well executed. The price is very reasonable by Telluride standards. I highly recommend the taco dinner for just $10. ...Family friendly and tons of local atmosphere. The staff is great and friendly to add to the restaurant's amazing style. (see less)
