The exterior home has that log cabin feel, but the interior is much more majestic than you could ever imagine.

The ornate mantle and fireplace are the true focal point of the living room if you can take your eyes off the log paneling.

Let's get right to the fun by challenging the kids to a game or two in the lower level game room.

Or, if everyone's a bit sleepy, cuddle up in the home theater and watch a new flick.

The wrap-around back deck has some comfy seats for lounging on a nice mountain day.

The living room has towering high ceilings and plenty of windows to let in that natural light.

The kids can pull up a seat at the breakfast bar and "help" you cook dinner.

The beautiful counters and island leave plenty of prep space for all your gourmet meals.

There is additional storage in the butler's pantry, complete with wet bar for added motivation.

There is plenty of seating for 6, plus the 3 at the breakfast bar, in the informal dining room.

But if you're looking for a more formal dining experience, head over to the table that accommodates up to 10 hungry lumberjacks.

While the living room is great for socializing, the sitting area has a big TV and a table for that quick game of cards.

There's also a half bath on the main level.

Master Bedroom 1 is located on the third floor with a king bed (and accompanying thrones), TV and fireplace.

There's also access to a private balcony from the master, so you can easily enjoy the fresh air.

Should you need to get a bit of work done, there's even a desk in the master as well.

A walk-in shower, soaking tub and dual sink vanity make the master bathroom incredibly luxurious.

And check out just how spacious that shower is.

The master balcony is perfect for that morning coffee.

The third floor office is also available, should you need to work for a full day.

Guest Bedroom 2, located on the main level, features a king-sized bed, fireplace and an en-suite bathroom.

The en suite for Guest Bedroom 2 is equally luxurious to the master bath. No, space is never an issue here.

Head down to the lower level where Guest Bedroom 3 has a (really cool) queen bed and its own en-suite bathroom.

Guest Bedroom 3's en suite has a single sink vanity and shower/tub combo.

Guest Bedroom 4 is perfect for a couple of kids or singles with two twins and en-suite bathroom.

Another angle gives you an idea of how spacious these rooms actually are.

The en suite here has a walk-in shower and single sink vanity.

The bunkroom on the first floor has two bunk beds, with fulls on both the top and bottom, so could even accommodate 4 adults!

The fun sink in the en-suite bathroom could make even the most stubborn child brush his or her teeth!

And don't even get us going on the very cool soaking tub.

No, this is certainly not your ancestors' idea of a log cabin...

But we bet it's yours.

And once you're done checking out the intricate entryway...

Grab a seat on your porch and take it all in.

There's plenty of space for everyone.

And plenty of room to roam...

Some might carelessly call this 5-bedroom, 5-bath home a log cabin. But those are the very same people who refer to a Ferrari as a car, or a diamond as a rock. We know you know luxury when you see it. And at Holden Lodge, located on the prestigious Holden Road, you’ll see it at every turn. In every nook. And in every detail. This is where modern amenities, sprawling space, ornate design and rustic charm all manage to congregate as one. And the result is nothing short of spectacular.

Pulling up to your lavish “log cabin,” you may be tempted to put your car in park and wait for the valet to come. (Here’s a helpful hint: there isn’t one.) But getting your gear into the home and to the mountain itself couldn't be easier with the shuttle on demand. So get those bags inside and let’s go for a tour, because we’re as excited to tell you about it as you will be to see it. And it is a sight to behold.

The entryway is just a glimpse of all you’re in store for, with its brilliant architecture and exquisite details. It’s a dramatic entrance indeed. And the first thing you’ll notice is that the log-based design is not just for show. It carries throughout. You’ll find it the airy interior. Along and around the stone-crafted gas fireplace. You’ll see it carry into the modern kitchen above the plentiful counter space. You’ll enjoy its omnipresence in the dining area fit for a king...and 9 of his closest subjects. You’ll marvel as it follows you into the bright halls, down into the media and game room, and up the winding staircase to the second floor rooms.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, and its own unique charm. There are dueling bunk beds to sleep four or more smiling children. A master bedroom complete with its own fireplace and access to the balcony. Yes, when it’s time to lay rest for the evening, this home certainly has a family of varied ages very well covered.

And the best part? If and when you ever decide to leave this wooded palace, you’re just a phone call away to the Dial-A-Ride shuttle service that will take you to dinner, to the trails, to the museum, or right to the base of the Beaver Creek (just a half mile away). If it's warm and you're feeling like a stroll, just walk over there! For as you see, a stay at Holden Lodge is sure to take you away.

Great location!

I stayed at this home with a few coworkers while in town for a work trip. The home is in a great location, making it easy to get around to all the different areas in BC and Vail. That being said, I still felt like I was tucked away in nature. I even saw a few deer! The rental company was super easy to work with, and while I didn't have any issues during my stay, the manager still checked in to make sure everything was working. Wish I could back during ski season!

Vail's $25 Million Summer Development Sparks New Era of Year-Round Ski Resort Playgrounds

First-Timer's Guide: Vail
July 25, 2017 A weekend spent in the mountains is the pinnacle—literally—of what makes living in Colorado so great, even if the I-70 traffic and questionable, or downright treacherous, road conditions can be trying (to say the least). That’s why ...our ideal ski weekend involves zero car time. It’s also one of Vail’s strongest draws: The praised ski destination is unique in that it was a resort first and a town later. The hyperlocal community, free bus system, and centralized businesses that popped up around the resort, which opened in 1962, provide a practically ski-in, ski-out city center. If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, the Centennial State, or have simply never been to Vail, venture (safely) west this winter, park and unpack your Subaru, and treat yourself to a stress- and car-free weekend.  (see less)
