Aspen Luxury Vacation Rentals

Set against the peaks of the Elk Range, our homes trade the ordinary for space, beauty, and views that go on for miles.

Explore Aspen Rentals

Ski Ajax in the morning, browse the galleries after lunch, then ride a sleigh to a candlelit dinner in the backcountry, all from a home built for it. Our collection gathers slopeside homes at Snowmass, downtown condos steps from the Silver Queen Gondola, and West End and Red Mountain estates, each privately owned, carefully selected, and cared for by our local team.

Overview

Staying in Aspen

In short, our Aspen luxury vacation rentals are privately owned homes minutes from the four mountains, downtown, and the county airport, each prepared to five-star standards and backed by a local team that knows the valley.

The town began as a silver-mining boomtown in 1879, then struck gold in a different way when the ski area opened in 1946 and hosted the World Championships four years later. Victorian storefronts still line the streets, now sharing them with designer boutiques, galleries, and some of the best restaurants in the Rockies. It sits at about 7,900 feet in the Roaring Fork Valley, ringed by the Elk Mountains and the White River National Forest.

Four mountains rise around it, together on one Ikon pass and linked by free shuttles: Ajax, the steep, expert peak with the Silver Queen Gondola climbing straight from downtown; Highlands, with its famous Highland Bowl and a local mountain feel; Buttermilk, gentle, family-friendly, and home to the Winter X Games; and Snowmass, the largest and most versatile, with a village of its own at the base.

Summer may be the secret season. The Food and Wine Classic, the Ideas Festival, and the Music Festival fill the calendar, the Maroon Bells draw travelers to the most photographed peaks in North America, and the trails open to hiking and biking. The Wheeler Opera House and the Art Museum keep the culture going year-round.

Our collection of Aspen luxury vacation rentals runs from a downtown condo you can walk to the gondola from up to a Red Mountain estate with the whole valley below it. In between sit ski-access homes at Snowmass, historic residences in the West End, and retreats near Highlands and Buttermilk. Every home is privately owned, thoughtfully selected, and cared for by our local team, so your stay is seamless from the moment you arrive.

Ski-In/Ski-Out Homes at Snowmass

Snowmass is the valley's premier ski-access hub and the easiest base for families, with the largest terrain of the four mountains and a village of its own. Homes here sit steps from the lifts and the Elk Camp Gondola, with room to spread out. See our Snowmass homes.

Downtown Condos and Townhomes

Walk to the Silver Queen Gondola, the galleries, and the restaurants of the core. Condos and townhomes downtown put you in the middle of it, close to the lifts by day and the apres-ski scene by night.

West End and Red Mountain Estates

For space and privacy, the historic West End, with its tree-lined streets and Victorian homes, and Red Mountain, the estate-lined ridge above town, hold some of the most private residences in the valley, along with the gated hilltop of Starwood.

Homes Near Highlands and Buttermilk

On the Maroon Creek side, homes near Highlands put the Highland Bowl and a quieter, local mountain at your door, while Buttermilk suits beginners, ski school, and families, an easy base for a multi-mountain week.

Aspen Luxury Vacation FAQ

Where should I stay in Aspen: downtown, Snowmass, or the West End?

Downtown puts you within walking distance of the Silver Queen Gondola, the galleries, and the restaurants. Snowmass is the ski-in/ski-out, family-friendly base with the largest terrain. The West End is the quiet, historic side of Victorian homes and tree-lined streets, while Red Mountain and Starwood hold the private estates above town, and homes near Highlands and Buttermilk suit a multi-mountain week. Free shuttles link the villages and all four mountains, so many guests base in one and roam the rest.

Should I book a hotel or a vacation rental in Aspen?

It depends on how your group travels. A hotel gives you a front desk and room service; a private home gives you more space, a full kitchen, and privacy, with our local team and concierge handling the hotel-style touches, from a stocked fridge to a private chef. For families and groups, our Aspen luxury vacation rentals usually win on both room to spread out and value.

What is a ski-in/ski-out home, and do you have them in Aspen?

A ski-in/ski-out home lets you click in at the door and ski back to it at the end of the day, with no shuttle in between. In this valley, true door-to-lift access clusters at Snowmass, while downtown homes tend to be a short walk or gondola ride from Ajax. Tell your advisor how important true ski-in/ski-out is and we will match the home.

What is the difference between Aspen's four mountains?

Ajax, or Aspen Mountain, is steep and expert, with no beginner runs and the gondola rising from downtown. Highlands is the local's mountain, known for the hike-to Highland Bowl. Buttermilk is the gentlest, ideal for beginners and ski school and home to the Winter X Games. Snowmass is the biggest and most versatile, the best all-around choice for families and mixed-ability groups. One Ikon pass and the free shuttles cover all four.

Should I stay in Aspen or Vail?

Both are among the finest in the Rockies, but they feel different. This town leans boutique, exclusive, and culture-driven, wrapped around a real, historic downtown; Vail offers a larger, purpose-built European-style village that many families love. They also ski on different passes, Ikon here and Epic there. Tell your advisor your priorities and we will point you to the right base.

Do you have condos and cabins, or only large estates?

Both, across a wide range, from downtown condos and townhomes near the gondola to private estates on Red Mountain and in the West End. Share your group size and we will help you choose the right fit.

Do you have homes in a specific Aspen neighborhood?

Yes. Many of our Aspen luxury vacation rentals sit in well-known areas, including the downtown core, the historic West End, Red Mountain and Starwood above town, and the slopeside village at Snowmass, with more toward Highlands and Buttermilk. Tell us the area you have in mind, and we will show you what is open.

Are your Aspen rentals pet-friendly?

Select homes welcome pets, usually up to two dogs with approval and a pet fee. Ask your advisor and we will point you to the homes that fit your dates and your group.

Where should we eat in Aspen?

The dining here rivals any city. Element 47 at The Little Nell is the gold standard, with a celebrated wine cellar; Matsuhisa, Nobu's original Colorado room, serves the black cod that made him famous; Cache Cache is the enduring French-American bistro; and Bosq holds the town's first Michelin star. The backcountry sleigh dinner at Pine Creek Cookhouse is a bucket-list evening on its own. Tell your advisor what you are after and we will book the hard-to-land tables.

What is there to do in Aspen?

In winter, it is four mountains on one pass, plus the Winter X Games at Buttermilk and miles of Nordic trails. Summer opens hiking and biking, the Maroon Bells, and a full cultural calendar, the Food and Wine Classic, the Aspen Ideas Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival, alongside the Wheeler Opera House and the Aspen Art Museum year-round.

How high is Aspen, and will the altitude affect me?

Downtown sits at about 7,900 feet, with the mountains rising past 11,000 feet and the Highland Bowl topping out near 12,400, so it is high and worth respecting. Most guests feel it for a day, so hydrate, go easy on arrival, and ease into activity. Select homes include oxygen systems, and our team can arrange in-home hydration and oxygen support to help your group acclimate.

Can I book a home for a festival week?

Yes, and the marquee weeks book up first, so share your dates as early as you can. The Winter X Games land in late January, and summer brings the Food and Wine Classic in June, the Aspen Ideas Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival, when homes go quickly and command a premium.

Do you offer short-term and long-term stays?

Yes, our Aspen luxury vacation rentals are available from a few nights to a month or more, subject to availability and local regulations. Send your dates and we will confirm what is open.

How do I get to Aspen?

Fly into Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, only about four miles from downtown, though its mountain approach is weather-sensitive. Eagle County Regional Airport is roughly seventy miles away and Denver International about four hours by road, a reliable backup when flights reroute. In winter, come by way of Glenwood Springs, since Independence Pass is closed. Many guests arrange a private transfer, which our team can coordinate.

What is included with an InvitedHome rental?

Our Aspen luxury vacation rentals include a privately owned, vetted home prepared to five-star standards, a local team on call, and concierge services you can add, from a stocked kitchen and private chef to lift tickets, ski rentals, and in-home wellness.

How do I book or get a quote?

Send your dates and group through our Aspen booking and quote request, and an advisor will reply with a curated shortlist of Aspen luxury vacation rentals and pricing.
