Laughter. It’s at the center of any great vacation. And if you happen to find yourself in Telluride between February 15-18, you’ll find it’s in the center of downtown as well. Every year, some of the best stand-ups and improvisational performers take their comedic talents to the Telluride Comedy Festival. And this year is certainly no different. Check ticket availability here. If plan to extend your stay, look through our complete list of things to do in Telluride.
Now in its 18th year, past performers at the Telluride Comedy Festival have included sidesplitting stars like Aziz Ansari from Parks & Recreation, Tig Notaro from the Sarah Silverman Program, Jack MacBrayer from 30 Rock, Casey Wilson from SNL, and Rob Riggle from practically every comedy film you’ve ever seen in the past 10 years.
This year’s all-star lineup continues in that vein. It features such omnipresent luminaries as Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Jason Mantzoukas, Seth Morris, Thomas Middleditch, Chris Garcia, Alice Wetterlund, Pam Murphy, Matt Newell, Bjorn Gustaffsson and Will Hines. Plus, when it comes to the Telluride Comedy Festival, you never know when other performers or celebrities might hop on stage.
Please note: VIP Packages with tables up front are available throughout the weekend. Should individual tickets not be picked up by 8:30 p.m. each night, they will be released to accommodate the venue’s wait list.
All performances for the Telluride Comedy Festival weekend take place at the New Sheridan Opera House. And with a capacity of a little more than 250 people, these events do sell out fast. But if you get your tickets ahead of time, you’ll be sure to enjoy a one-of-kind evening of big, hilarious stars in a small, intimate setting right near center of the Town proper.
There just may be no other event this President’s Day weekend so worthy of your immediate attention. You’ll spend the days basking in the glow of the glistening Telluride slopes. You’ll devote your evenings to delicious meals and the comedic stylings of some of the country’s best performers as they embark on a rare gathering under the same roof. And then when the 18th Annual Telluride Comedy Festival ends, you’ll find yourself laughing all the way home in a car full of unforgettable mountainside memories. We can hear you start to giggle already.
